I have worked for numerous publishers and published reviews and articles in The Guardian, The Independent on Sunday, the London Review of Books, the TLS, the Literary Review, The Sunday Times and many other publications. In Italy I have written numerous articles for the weekly magazine Internazionale.

I have taken part in numerous podcasts on a variety of subjects from Mussolini (Real Dictators) to Italian cycling and football. TV and film documentaries (parts of my interviews with the director were used in Asif Kapadia’s award-winning Maradona, I am interviewed in Born to Win, a upcoming HBO series about Silvio Berlusconi and Football). I regularly appear on the Cycling Podcast with Daniel Friebe to preview the Giro d’Italia each year. I have also appeared on national radio in the UK, Italy, Ireland, Switzerland and Australia.
